This is our Thanksgiving special. Mike and I talked about discussing the origins of Thanksgiving. Going into the history of the first one. We decided that that had been done. We wanted to do something more fitting. What we decided on was to tell what we are thankful for.
We are very thankful for all of you. Each and every listener to the Survivapunk Podcast. Each reader. You make doing this worth it. We don’t say it enough.
Ok Let’s try this again. I love it when wordpress eat a completed post. It is getting cold outside. Even here in Tennessee it’s down to 21° already. With the cold comes the crud. With a combination of the weather and building I feel like crap. Sore throat, runny nose and achy. When I get like this there my go to solution is soup. It’s easy to make and warms you. It drives back the funk. Especially when made from homemade bouillon cubes.
Like I talked about recently I don’t like store bought bouillon cubes. They have all kinds of junk in them I don’t like. I have looked all over for better ones and have not found any. The solution is homemade bouillon cubes. Not the little rocks you get in the store but real ones. They are easy and good for you too.
This week on the Survivalpunk podcast we tackle a very important issue. An issue that has become a growing epidemic. The is Autoimmune Diseases. I remember a time when I had never heard of one. When I didn’t know a single person that had one. Now the list of friends with failing health is getting longer and longer. I have tried to help where I can. Sadly most are not willing to do what is necessary.
In our society people want an easy fix. They do not what to stop eating their fast food. They want a pill to fix their problems. Taking charge of your own health is too much for many. There are those that do. They are sick of being sick. They take responsibility for their health. They change diets. Eat fermented foods. Drink things like water keifer. Improve sleep. They tinker and explore. In many cases with hard work they cure incurable diseases.

I saw an image on the internet a while back about 2 ingredient pancakes. I don’t care much for recipes. I just went and tried it. Bananas and eggs were the only ingredients. I mashed one banana and mixed with an egg and cooked in a skillet. When I tried to flip over my paleo pancake it fell apart. It looked like a dog got ahold of it. The paleo pancake was delicious though.
Today I decided to tackle it again. This time I’ll make a decent paleo pancake. Same two ingredients as last time. New techniques. How did it turn out this time? Lets find out!
The most important work I’ve done in my life has been to inspire others to get healthy. I’ve spread the paleo msg since starting Survivalpunk. Over the years some have listened to that msg. They have decided to follow me down the paleo rabbit hole. Badass! I have emails and text msgs about feeling better and losing weight. Every time I think I’m spinning my wheels with this whole thing they lift me up. You are why I’m compelled to keep on preaching the paleo word. There is another kind of msg I get often though. Is this paleo? Can I eat this? I get those questions so often. I try not to get aggravated though. They are making a huge leap into a world they don’t know. It’s also a mistake on my part for not teaching the bigger picture. So today I’m going to try to teach a little better to help y’all out.
