If your like me water has been put off on your prep’s. I know the importance of water and means to purify it. I have a water plan but it is simple. I have iodine, chlor -floc tabs, Bleach and bandanas. Also I have metal containers for boiling. Im lacking in the filter category. I’ve looked and looked at them. trying to decide which one is best. Water filters are expensive and I don’t take purchases that cost upwards of $100 lightly. The drawback with the filters is that they do nothing for Viruses. So you still need to treat the water.
The Berkey Sport bottle is a true purifier. You are left with great tasting clean water. Unlike all the filters it will remove Giardia and Cryptosporidium, my two biggest concerns with questionable water. Not only does it perform better than the filters it is a fraction of the price. Berkey makes a fine product, i have a big berky on my kitchen counter since 1999. they even improve normal tap water, and give you peceie of mind about what _might_ be coming out of your tap.

Nothing is more important than access to food, shelter, and water with water being the most critical time-wise. One can make it for about three days without access to potable water so having a reliable filtering device is a critical element in any contingency planning scenario. No company, to my knowledge, is more reliable than Berkey.

I have urges to drink questionable water all the time! And eat questionable food… Do they have a filter for cookies I find on the floor? Well, either way I want to get my drank on. Safely. I currently use a bobble, I think they filter about 9.99% of toxins. In somewhat related news, I think I might have a kidney stone, and soon I may have to filter my pee to catch it. A prize might make me feel better.
