Coffee, the glue that keeps modern society functional. Without our morning life blood dragging yourself into work becomes nearly impossible. What happens to the magical elixir when the power is out and the coffee pots won’t turn on? How do you make coffee without electricity? I’ve been thinking about how to make an off grid coffee maker for a few weeks now. Most the time I walk around in a semi-daze with projects going through my head. For this project, I had a list of things I needed my off grid coffee maker to accomplish. I wanted it to be simple to make, easy to operate, not be made of plastic, take any heating method available and not just produce any cup of coffee but the BEST cup. While I still have a few kinks to work out my trial run produced an amazing cup. Now let’s get to brewing!

Low Carb Egg Pizza

I’m back! The sickness I had last week that kicked my ass is over and I’m hungry! To cure my hunger I’m making an old favorite recipe of mine from before I went paleo. Before the switch to paleo I had been just eating low carb. Once, while I was craving pizza and didn’t want to break my diet I googled a recipe for a low carb pizza. The recipe I found many years ago turned out to be delicious. It hit the spot and became a regular meal for years before switching to paleo and giving up dairy. I had in fact forgotten all about egg pizza until a few weeks ago when an ex girlfriend of mine mentioned it and how much she loved it. Well I decided to make up one and show you how you can make egg pizza too. Egg pizza is the perfect dish to make for a special lady, chicks love egg pizza.

Stomach Virus Woes

Today will be a quick update, mostly to let everyone know I am alive and didn’t want to miss another day without writing something. I also gained some insight I want to share. Mostly though I think of all of you as my friends and friends whine to each other when they are sick. Tuesday morning after leaving from getting a hair cut I was heading home as fast as I could. I needed to get into the bathroom. I had felt fine until partway into getting a haircut and then my stomach started rumbling and churning. I paid and ran out the door dove into my car and sped away. I was thinking maybe it was a fluke and started getting ready for bed since I had plans for the night. A local Irish pub was going to have Guinness girls there with freebies and samples. Free Guinness, ’nuff said I was excited. Unfortunately my bathroom trip was not a fluke and there would be no free Guinness for me.

I love it when I can come on here and praise a product and a company. Nothing makes me happier than giving my glowing recommendation to a well crafted product. That’s not always the case though, and I will and have happily ripped products a new one when they sucked. Today is a case of the latter. A few months ago I bought a Blackhawk mag carrier. The voice in the back of my head that warns me not to buy shit whispered to me, Dont get it. I ignored that voice and bought it regardless and have since been simmering is my hatred for this product. Yesterday while at the range with some friends James from Skills and gear showed me a sweet inside the waist kydex carrier he recently got (Here). Which just set me off ranting about how much I hate the blackhawk one. Did I mention I hate this thing? Let me count the ways in which this pill of crap sucks.
