Keto Chow Review Finally A Keto Meal Replacement Shake
I love it when I find a cool product. Keto Chow Is definitely a cool product. For years I have looked for a meal replacement product that is keto friendly. Think Slim Fast only not full of sugar and crap. When your busy and on the road having a keto meal replacement would come in handy.
When I first saw the product soylent I thought “SOYLENT IS PEOPLE! IT”S PEOPLE!”. Hopefully, you get that joke. After looking over the ingredients in soylent and the macro nutrient profile I had no interest. It is just more carb-laden junk. I could save money and get some Atkins frozen meals or shakes. Although they are low carb they are not the best.
This week we goes over the basics of a Low carb into. How to begin eating low carb. James and many others have lost weight on a low carb diet. Even on Paleo I tend to stay low carb. When not eating processed foods it’s hard to get too many carbs.

Yesterday I interviewed Jimmy Moore on his new book Keto Clarity. Today I’ll publish my review of Keto Clarity. If this is your first time hearing the word Keto I’ll explain it. I’ll convince you why you want to check out Keto Clarity. Even if you are not overweight. There is a lot more to the ketogenic diet than weight loss. That’s icing on the low carb cake.
What is this keto diet anyway. Well I’ve talked about is any times before on my journey of weight loss. Our good friends over at Wikipedia define it as such.
Ketosis/kɨˈtoʊsɨs/ is a metabolic state where most of the body’s energy supply comes from ketone bodies in the blood, in contrast to a state of glycolysis where blood glucose provides most of the energy. So it’s an alternative fuel source for the body. Switching from glucose to ketone bodies. Switching to high-octane in my opinion. How do you get into a ketogenic state? In easy terms you eat low carbs, moderate protein and high fat. Notice I didn’t give specific numbers there. For each person those numbers will be different. In Keto Clarity Jimmy covers the many ways to measure ketone levels. He goes over which ones work best and which are not that good. You can wing it but it’s best to test.
With Keto Clarity Jimmy knocked out a tome of wisdom. He gathered the best and brightest in the low carb field. He researched all the science. He himself conducted a year-long experiment with thousands of data points. I do not have the patience to weigh myself everyday. Measure blood glucose and ketone levels more than once a day. His N=1 experiment was detailed and impressive. In Keto Clarity he not only covers the basics of getting into ketosis but some great tips of optimizing it. He digs deep into the science on why it works and is better for humans. How does a keto diet affect different illness like epilepsy and schizophrenia?
If you geek on the science behind why things work you will love this. If you just like to know what to do you will love this book. With shopping lists and sample meal plans you can hit the ground running. I like that the chapters are short and to the point. The end of every chapter is a bullet point list of that chapter. That is the best thing I’ve seen in a book. If you’re not familiar with Jimmy’s work you don’t know how entertaining he is. That comedy comes out in this book well. I learn best when It has some humor in it. I could never learn from Ben Stein. So go check out Keto Clarity and give it a try.

He had some great tips and recipes. He was also both passionate and funny. Like Jimmy though I made some slips and put back on the weight. It took a few tips from Jimmy to get it back under control. Keto Clarity has all those tips and more.
In Keto Clarity Jimmy breaks down everything you could ever want to know about being ketogenic. The book is filled with science for those that want it. It also explains very easy to understand. The chapters end with breakdown bullet points. It is filled with experts in the medical and low carb world. Jimmy shares some menu foods as well. One thing I always wonder is what people actually eat.
Nutritional Misinformation pretty much runs rampant in the US and the entire world. Since the introduction of the food pyramid obesity rates have increased. Along with getting fatter diabetes has followed suite increasing. Following the food pyramid does not make you healthy but quite the opposite. It leads to over consuming of carbohydrates and sugar and trying to eliminate healthy fats. The term balanced diet is in truth horrible unbalanced. With over thirty years of failed diet information from the government you would think that the American people would see that a high carb low fat diet is bad. With all the studies out there that prove it is not healthy you would think people would wake up. Much like with current politics and the need to prepare for a shifting society normalcy bias prevents most people from seeing the truth. Today is mostly a rant about and I know how many of you love those.
