You hit on a subject near and dear to my heart. I hate the credit game, I will never understand why people think paying usury to a bank in exchange for the “opportunity” to pay even more usury in the future is a good idea. I’ve never had a credit card or taken out a non education loan, and pay cash for everything. Like you I did have one year of school loans that left me thousands in debt. Since I couldn’t pay them back they ended up garnishing my wages, those were some lean times. Unfortunately I do have a ton of medical debt. If I’m ever garnished for those, which are up in the six figures, I may have to consider alternate means of making a living.
Yeah I had either 2 or 4 grand in Student Loans and they didn’t garnish my wages but forced me to make a payment arrangement that was very steep.
Try brining your turkey for 24 hours or overnight first. It will be extremely moist. Just soak it in a mixture of water, salt and honey. You can add other seasonings to the brine. Great show by the way. Glad to see Mike has a rant segment.
I’ve always wanted to try a brined turkey. I think this year for real Thanksgiving I’m going to cook the turkey and Brine it.
