Today I thought I would share with you my preferred way to carry Duct Tape. I came across this idea a few years ago and I can’t imagine not using it to carry and store tape.
Everyone knows that Duct tape is the most versatile substance in the universe. The only downside is its bulky. It comes on big round rolls and takes up a lot of space. But it doesn’t have to. A few years ago I read online about wrapping duct tape around hard plastic cards and storing it flat. That had to be the most genius idea ever.
Making duct tape cards is super easy. First get a plastic card. I save up the fake credit cards I get in the mail. Then just wrap the tape around till you either use the whole roll or until your card is as full as you want it. Sometimes I will make a card with only a few wraps to keep it small enough to keep in my wallet.
This also works well with other kinds of tape. I’ve used it to wrap medical tape around little grocery store vip cards to keep First aid kits small.
That’s it for today just a short tip on reducing the space on bulky rolls of tape.
