I don’t spend much time anymore reading other survival blogs. I usually stay off the forums for the most part. Heck I have been thinking about giving up tsp. Why would you do that for James? Well I am a sponge and would have to sound like I’m mimicking anyone else. It’s a fine line between still learning and enjoying my favorite subjects and copying. There’s an article I’ve seen going around called something about the items to not trash. Items to always keep as a prepper. What’s on the list of not trash? I have no idea I haven’t read it. It got me thinking though that there are items I always keep. Some of you might be interested in what my packrat butt hordes. Let’s get into the trash and see what we find.

Prepping for NOW – Debt Reduction at all Costs

Today is an excellent guest post about debt elimination. When I was contacted by Gale Newell on submitting an article on debt reduction I was excited to run it. Debt is evil and needs to be destroyed. So enjoy this and get rid of the debt. -James

Prepping is about being self-reliant. It’s about being detached from any and all dependencies. When SHTF the current political and economic systems we currently fall in line with will be gone, or at least much less stable and reliable on an everyday basis. No longer will you be able to leave your home, get in your car, drive to the local supermarket and secure all the foodstuffs on your shopping list. Food and other supplies will be scarcer and much harder to acquire. Life in general will not be as easy as it is now. So what can you do to prep for the future? Start with cutting those strings of dependency. First and foremost, eliminate any and all debts tying you down.

Launching The Survivalpunk Army

First let me wish each of you a Happy July 4th today. I felt a there was a symbolism to launching my membership program on independence day. That this day was the perfect day for rolling out the oft thought about membership program I wanted to do. I knew when I started Survivalpunk that it felt right. We’ve had some ups and downs but I’m still here and many of you are still. Survivalpunk was meant to be my path to freedom. I decided that it was time to stop over thinking it and put it out there. I suffer from some crippling perfectionism on times and that held up this for too long. No time is ever the right time but now feels damn right. So let me explain what the heck this Survivalpunk Army, SPA, is all about. What you get and why you should join.
