Online Carry Training

I was contacted by Online Carry Training about their online carry class they offer. I was slightly skeptical of an online carry course but was intrigued too. I asked them to let me take the course for this review. I set aside enough time to take the class based on my guess of how long it would take. After completing the course I want to share my experiences of the class and why you might consider taking an online carry class.

Sausage

Fresh Breakfast Sausage

I like breakfast meats. Bacon and sausage are some of my favorite foods. I rarely buy sausage though because they all have tons of crap in them I don’t want in there. Even some of the better brands have added sugar. I try to avoid foods with sugar and funky ingredients. I decided I would try my hands at making some homemade fresh sausage. After doing some looking around t turns out that it’s not very hard to make fresh sausage. Having a meat grinder makes the process even easier. I drove to a few stores looking for ground pork. Finally finding one last package on sale for a buck. So lets get to making some breakfast sausage.

Pumpkin Spice Rubbed Steak

Pumpkin Spice Rubbed Steak

It’s fall and that means pumpkin everything. Maybe I go overboard but I love the pumpkin spice flavor. I’m not sure why I don’t think about it any other time of the year but during the fall my mind is consumed with pumpkin spice. Last year I came up with some pretty good recipes, Pumpkin soup and bars come to mind. This year I had an idea hit me and I knew I had to try it. The mission was to make a pumpkin spice rubbed steak. To combine two of my favorite flavors together to make magic. So lets get cooking!

Wait The Government Is Closed!?

The government is shut down, there is anarchy and murder in the streets. Cats and dogs are having babies, and the zombie hordes are coming for you. Oh wait no none of that happened. With “non-essential” parts of the gov closed down most of us don’t even notice. I woke up this morning and went to work like always. I of course do not work in government. I know some people are furloughed and that sucks but obviously your job is not that important. The only area that really bothers me is the closing of National parks. In Tennessee the smoky mountains are closed which sadly I’ve not made it to yet anyway. It seems that my favorite parks for hiking are still open. So once again not affected. So what is closed and why do I care?

Fear for Sale

Fear Is The Mind Killer

Today’s post is a bit of my philosophy mixed in with a bit or ranting on a couple of idiots in the prepper community making us all look bad. I come across a lot of people in the prepper/ survivalist industry are trying to sale their products using fear. Fear mongering pisses me off. Taking advantage of people to make a buck is plain wrong. I had this article planned already but with something I read today I have a bit more to say. Today is all about Fear, having fear push you into bad decisions and those that use it on you. Don’t be scarred today we’re facing the fear.
