EDC Made Easy

I had an idea to make edc simple and streamlined but subtle. I didn’t want to be sporting around a Batman utility belt. I also didn’t want to got the fanny pouch route. I know Nutnfancy wears one and says to get over it. Well I’m not getting over it and I think I found a better solution that will not make you stand out as a weirdo or tourist. My solution give you the ability to carry a few extra items that you need everyday.I’m still working out the kinks and on the items that work best but I’ll go ahead and share what I have so far.

Survival And A Sprained Ankle

Yesterday I was in the field by my apartment playing Frisbee with a friend when I twisted my ankle. It was a pretty bad twist, I heard it pop and went down in searing pain. Today I got to thinking about how to treat it and how to deal with it during a survival situation. I’ll share my pain induced ramblings along with some tried and true wisdom on the issue.

Antibiotics

Antibiotics the Ducktape Of Mainstream Medical

You’re lucky today reader I have another James rant. I’ve been kicking this idea around for a while but recent event’s brought it to the surface and it’s time to vent. Today’s rant is brought to you by the incompetence of the medical industry in general and one in particular. I have a friend that was feeling sick and decided to go to the new walk in clinic that opened down the street. At first I was fairly impressed, the wait to get in was very short, the total time in their was short, the staff was nice. When she got out I asked what it was she had. It turns out that the doctor didn’t bother to diagnosis her at all. A guess of it might be strep throat was made and a prescription for antibiotics was made. This is what kicked off my anger, the lazy attitude from medical “professionals” and the over eagerness to simply throw antibiotics at any problem. Now lets get down to ranting.

Nature’s 100-Percent Colombian Coffee Kettle Review

Last week I had to go to a meeting for work and while I was leaving I noticed an Academy Sports across the street. I walked around looking at prices and anything new and interesting to review. I found two products that I’m going to be reviewing. Today I have the Nature’s 100-Percent Colombian Coffee Kettle up for review. I found a great hiking trail close to me (Beaman Park if you’re in the TN area) and had a chance to test this product out, as well as the my new Pocket rocket and Power Pot. All in all I had a wonderful hike and had fun playing with some gear. Like any good day, lets get this one started with some coffee.

Revolutionary Songs For the Rebellious

Today I have an article I’ve been kicking around for a while. Music is a big part of the human experience, used to convey emotions and desires common to all mankind. Today I’ve collected some songs to represent the current revolutionary spirit welling up in not only Americans but people all throughout the world. The governments keep getting bigger and taking more power for themselves and removing more of our freedoms. The songs I picked today show that feeling and strike a chord with me. Some are newer songs and some are older from the hippie movement that saw that government was evil. So lets get down with some music today.
